I don't use WMA files anyway. MPEG2 works fine which is done in hardware.

WMP 11 is a DRM crippler. I would stay away from it. It looks cool and probably performs better, but personally, I don't trust it. Microsoft is too much on the DRM bandwagon for me. Even WMP 10 has the DRM stuff, just not as bad.
