When I built my recorder, I added a DVD-RW drive so tha I could record and play DVDs. Nothing fancy-just wanted to have one box that does it all. I've tried every major and even some pretty obscure DVD player software, but I haven't found one that seems suitable for playback on a TV set. It's not the video-that's fine-it's the controls. They're always so small, it's impossible to really see them from across the room. My Firefox remote is OK for basics-PLAY, PAUSE, etc., but sometimes I want to edit a playlist, stuff like that, and I have to go upstairs to another PC, logon to my BTV using VNC Viewer (a remote control program) if I want to have any chance of seeing drop downs, menu choices, etc. I'm pretty sure I'm missing something (other than going out and buying a hi-res digital TV or something). Has anyone else figured this out?
