Popping and poor quality with 1.1a

I just installed a clean version of the a version and it seems everything from my previous problems were fixed, except now, when recording, it snaps and pops about every 10 or so seconds.. I can hear it popping when its recording. When I go back to play it, the quality is great except when it gets to the snapping and popping.. it looks then, just like if you were watching a streaming movie online and your connection got slow.. it garbles up and gets jumpy.. then when the popping stops, it gets clear and normal again.. but it keeps doing it.

Im running the latest version on a WinTV PCI tuner card / Pentium II-450 198mb ram 10gb hd, recording in near-VHS mode.

read this post and help us out with some sample data. this should help us move faster towards a solution, if there is one.
