After realizing the use of the normal VFW drivers for my TV Wonder was futile, I removed all the ATI software and installed WebTV and the WDM drivers. After loading all the current tools, drivers, codecs, etc involving all things Windows Media, I'm happy to report successful recordings.
Once I study the SnapStream software a little more and learn how to encode things at various levels (using the above installed tools) for potential streaming across the Internet, I can't imagine not purchasing the full version.
This is the first program I've found the does TRUE background recording. Everything else always seemed to require a display screen. Very annoying if I wanted to actually use the computer!
