Only Recs a sched. show for 3 seconds?

I have the software installed and running, and everything works perfectly except when a schedule program automatically records, it only records 3 seconds .. although I can see the icon in the taskbar is red and I hear sound (meaning it is recording for the whole hour as scheduled), when I go back to play the recording ("watch"), its only 3 seconds long (the first 3 of the show).. any information??

what are the specs on your setup?

tuner card
processor
operating system
memory

and what is the size of the file that you are trying to watch (the one that only plays for 3 seconds)? what does WMP say the clip length is (should show up in the lower right corner)?
