I just love this program (If I can get it to work. I've been looking for a program like this forever.) I thought about buying the new radeon all in wonder for the tv card features but for $50 I can get streaming video. I'll use this to watch TV at work. I have a student job that I just it in front for the computer bored all day.) Now I can record my favorite shows and stream them from my computer. That my school for Ethernet! Well enough of that, I'm having problems.
I tried to set the program up and a few things I noticed. Once you setup the http port to a different port you need to restart the client. I didn't know this until I looked at the log. Maybe you can put a setting to reinitialize the http port after you submit it. Or just put a reminder after you submit.
With my ATI TV Wonder VE board with the 1.00 drivers supplied with the board and win ME I get a
"Tuning to channel 40 (319250000 Hz)"
"SetChannel: Unrecognized device type (0)."
Basically I can't tune the desired channel. I have AVICap setup with the ATI drivers selected. I just ordered my ATI 2.0 drivers but I just read that they don't work either. Am I the only one that has had this error?

First, as to the http port changes, the confirmation page should be giving you a message that you will need to restart SnapStream for your changes to take effect. Can you double-check and make sure it's not giving you this message?
As to the tuning error, I'll see if we can't reproduce the problem you're seeing with the TV Wonder VE (or the AIW cards for the other posters). We have previously tested the same setup you are describing without seeing this problem, so I'll see if I can figure out how to reproduce it (hopefully pointing the way to the fix).

I didn't see it asked or mentioned so... what are your current capture and tuning settings? What is your operating system?
possible the capture and tuning settings are not set correctly?

I tried to use every combination of capture and tuning interfaces ,only windows media tools 4.1 and ATI AIW drivers for w98/me could record something ( still display "tunning to xxxxxxxxHz setchannel error: unknown device type(0) ",then going on recording but noises ), the other were failed displaying "no encoding engein seleced....." as above.and I tried to use in Win98SE,WinMe,Win2K,but the problem again and again.
Same here, tried all settings. Seems this card is not compatable with lots of software. Doesn't work with Win 98 Web TV either. No software seems to be able to control the tuner except the stuff that comes with it.
The recording works fine on my machine, just can't tune the channel. If I trick it by using the ATI software, I can change the channel then use the snapstream to record.
