Hi,
I was just trying out 4a and when I select directshow I get no sound in my video. I also do not hear the sound when it is recording (a tell-tale sign). In the activity log it appears to work it says:
[12/9/2000 22:17:34] Record: Executing "SnapStream Diagnostic Test"...
[12/9/2000 22:17:34] Tuning to channel 10 (193250000 Hz).
[12/9/2000 22:17:34] SetChannel: Unrecognized device type (0).
[12/9/2000 22:17:34] Video 0: ATI RageTheater Video Capture
[12/9/2000 22:17:34] Video 1: ATI Multimedia Video Driver
[12/9/2000 22:17:34] Audio 0: VIA Audio (WAVE)
[12/9/2000 22:17:34] Video: "ATI Multimedia Video Driver" is selected.
[12/9/2000 22:17:36] Audio: "VIA Audio (WAVE)" is selected.
[12/9/2000 22:17:42] Capture started.
[12/9/2000 22:18:33] Record: Halting capture.
[12/9/2000 22:18:36] Master: RANDY has finished recording "SnapStream Diagnostic Test".
As it was recording I checked the recording properties and line-in was selected and the volume set appropriately so I don't think that's it. I have a similiar problem with WME7 after I modify the .wme file to select my video and sound card (no sound) so maybe their related.
In AVIcap it works fine (though it hangs when I try to do broadcast instead of VHS). Also WME7 still doesn't work -- gets a message saying it cant start the encoder.
Any help, advice or suggestion you could give would be helpful.
