I do not think so. I think this is a replacement for 3.5.x and is not a 'retro' build.

PBMax said just divx hardware encoding ... it was comments in a defect from the previous 3.7 beta

It is working well for me.

I take it you can only use it if you disable all of the other tuners.

disable all of the other tuners.I had to totally remove them. There are some odd behaviors in the admin and GUI regarding disabled tuners. I removed my two 250btv and put-in two PX-M402U. Oddly, the audio seems slightly out of synch with the video whilst recording MPEG-2 using the Plextors; but is in synch for DIVX.

Did you notice anything like that when you were toying with them?

No, my plextor records fine in mpeg2.
