I have been trying SnapStream for a while now, and I have never been able to record more than the diagnostic test, or at most 5 min of a TV program. Sometimes it crashes after 2 min. I have tried WME 4.1, 7.0 and AVICap as the encoder engine, and still no go.
I am using Hauppauge WinTV Theater with ATI Rage Pro.
To be fair though, ShowShifter also crashes, so I'm thinking it might be the encoder codecs... But WinTVCap from Hauppage works, although it produces AVI so no compression.
Is there anyway I could trace the problem?
