I noticed that on Firefly's supported software list that SageTV is listed. Has anyone successfully tried or does anyone know how to set up the Firefly remote to work with SageTV? Would I have to use Girder or can a I do it a simpler way through Firefly's program or SageTV's program? Please help because I wouldn't mind switching to SageTV from Beyond TV and I really don't care to revert back to an IR remote over a nice RF remote (Firefly). Thanks.

I used Firefly with Sage last spring/summer. A profile comes with the firefly install. I found it easier to tweak the key assignments in sage to match the firefly profile for Sage. From memory, so be kind .... go to the admin section where you assign keys to buttons in Sage. scroll to the button you want and press the key on the firefly. It will set/confirm in Sage ... as I recall.

I haven't tried this, yet. But, I take it this can mainly be done when you have the Firefly program (Beyond Media Basic). When installed, does SageTV even recognize the Firefly USB RF receiver? Because right now, I am using Firefly with Girder. I am not using the Beyond Media Basic program that comes with Firefly and SageTV doesn't recognize the Firefly USB RF receiver. Like I said, I haven't tried SageTV with the actual Firefly (Beyond Media Basic) program yet. I'm just wondering if that's what I need to do.

Firefly and it's software sends keystrokes to any application. This has nothing to do with Girder.
Firefly->USB Receiver->Firefly app->Send keystroke to the application of Focus
