View Full Version : Anyone here ever had their remote malfunction?

I'm talking about the remote itself - not the software.

When I press a key, the LED at the top of the remote lights up & stays lit for 1-2 minutes and nothing happens. I changed the batteries, but it still doesn't work.

I know the problem is in the remote itself (rather than the software or receiver) because when I take my firefly that we use for our bedroom setup & change it's frequency to match the living room set (the living room remote is the one that failed), I can control everything fine.

I opened a trouble ticket, but I was wondering if anyone else has ever had something like this happen to them?

Must be a pretty excellent product then if only one remote has failed. It's not like it's been dropped in water, stepped on or abused in any way either. 6 months & it just stopped working...

It figures that the product only has a 90 day warranty. Pretty lame...

I hope I can get it replaced, otherwise, I've wasted 50 bucks...

Yea actually its rare to hear people post about problems that they are having with the hardware aspect of the remote. And I definitely have not heard of this problem before. Hopefully tech support can offer some words of wisdom.

Tech support has gotten back to me & the orders department asked for my order number.

It's kind of annoying trying to resolve the issue through email since it takes them about 3 days to respond every time I answer one of their questions.

I should note that I am greatful for the assistance. It's just been annoying to have to reprogram the remote every time you go into another room. (Definitely taxing on the Wife Acceptance Factor)
