Have to Unplug the Reciever

When I reboot my PC Beyond Media Basic loads and the firefly program is running but in order to get the remote to actually work I need to unplug and replug the reciever cable back in. Anyway to fix this? The wife will get annoyed fast. Thanks in advance.

I have this same issue but with a home made USB cable thats probably about 50 Feet long. Do you have a very long USB cable this might be an issue. For me the reciever works for a random amount of time then it just stops working then unpluging the reciever and pluging it back in makes it work fine for at least a few hours. My reciever does work fine when its plugged directly into the computer though.

I had it plugged directly into the computer. Since I posted this I have had added a small extention cable(to put it further away from other electronics) and also had to reinstall windows. Although some quirks still exist the original problem seems to be solved.
