First Time Installation failure

I just installed the Hauppauge's WinTV card and the PVS software. I am unable to run PVS. I get this following error;

ssw.exe - Unable to Locate DLL
The dynamic link library MSVCRTD.dll could not be found in the specified path ....

I did a search and it isn't anywhere on my drive and I can't find it anywhere on the CD. I am assuming it is something from Microsoft. Where do I get the dll ?

The WinTV software is running great as a standalone system using.

I installed this in a PentiumIII running Win2000.

Does the Windows encoder 7.0 work? I seem to have the same problem as you have. Somewhere in the readme it says try to use mediaencoder to record something, if I try I get a strange error with something like "wrong parameter"
BTW I use a Hauppage WinTV-PVR-pci.

I believe that this is the "debug" version of this dll, and that it is only called if you run the app in debug mode.

I had the same problem, and it is annoying. You can get a relatively recent copy of this DLL here: http://dll.yaroslavl.ru/index.php3?download=msvcrtd.dll&ver=1

Copy it to your system32 directory this error goes away.
