Direct X problem on W2K

I have downloaded the Snapstream beta to try on my system (ATI Radeon).
I've tried to run a diagnostic recording, but the activity log throws an error indicating that Directx 8 is not installed. Directx 8 IS installed and the microsoft supplied diagnostics confirm this and confirm that it is working correctly.

The system is running W2K.

Any ideas ?

have you tried the latest version for this problem? You might check out this thread for more info on using the AIW Radeon:
