View Full Version : Tuning HRC Channels w/WinTV Go & Setting Lower Res.

Two questions...

1. I've got the WinTVGo card and am trying to use it on a cable system with an HRC off-set. WinTV32 has the ability to tune the offset's but I'm not able to with SnapStream. Any ideas?

2. Since I'm only using a 333mhz AMD K6, I need to lower the resolution or take any other suggestions on reducing proc need. I've tried to lower the resolution below 320x240 using the setup wizard without sucess. The changes do not appear to take.
Any ideas on this one?

Thanks

Hi.

1. Enter the HRC frequencies (in Hz) into the frequency fields in channel setup. This should allow you to tune properly.

2. Use the profile management to create a new, less CPU intensive profile. You can access this from the configure/record section. This is pretty user unfriendly at the moment, but will be greatly improved in the maintenance build. The key factors to look at are video bitrate, frame size, and frame rate especially.
