Good news to report: Install of BM+BTV on a cleanly rebuilt MCE2005 box went flawlessly. BTV appears to be working fine with the built in decoders plus NVIDIA decoder (which I installed due to using an MX440 card). The better news is that BM+BTV is running on the same machine that MCE will NOT! MCE locks up after 10 minutes due, I think, to a compatability problem with DirectX 9.0c. BTV is happy, happy on the same configuration.

Once quick question for the other Beta'ers: my BTV 3.5 rig is hooked up via analog VGA to my DLP television while the 3.7 rig is hooked up to a standard s-video set. In BTV for sure (and to a lesser degree in BM) the fonts for the menu items appear to be *much* smaller than those that appear in 3.5 over VGA. Is this normal behavior or is there a setting I can tweak for cleaner/larger menu fonts on the s-video out?

Looks like I spoke too soon. After 10 minutes of flawless dvd playback my screen froze and BM locked up. Looks like this is the DirectX/NVIDIA problem and not BM. I'll try to rip out DirectX 9.0c tonight and put b back on and/or try the quartz.dll swap I've seen talked about here. If all else fails I'll revert to Win2K this weekend. If that doesn't work I think I have a copy of OS/2 Warp floating around...

If that doesn't work I think I have a copy of OS/2 Warp floating around...Hmm... is that DirectX capable? Heck, is that OS capable of displaying 256 colors
