I am running SnapStream on my Athlon-600. Unless I run it in Windows Media Encoder 7 (instead of AviCap) at VHS Quality, the program maxes my CPU and the output is terrible. In WME7 mode, the output is great but every say, 5 minutes there is a 2 second pause in the video. Upon investigating this, I find at these points my CPU usage takes a nosedive from 60-odd% to about 5%....
Any suggestions?
(P.S> It is only the video that pauses... it keeps recording the audio)
Also, do you know of any way to get a Pinnacle PCTV Rave card to tune properly... I dont mind doing a little registry tweaking or such to get it to work.
