I get a different problem if I run ssw instead of ssd - with ssw the recording seems to take place ok, but the video file produced only contains < 1 sec of audio, no video. The file is the length I would expect for the length of time of the recording. The log file shows no problems I can see. I assume the video file is corrupt in some way?
I can upload the video file to you to look at if you like - just tell me where to put it.... graham@watson-family.net

I sent you an FTP location where you can send your file -- we'll take a look and see what we can do. If you haven't already, you might review http://www.snapstream.com/support/directx8.htm
to see if it might provide you with any assistance.

I am having the same problem. Voodoo3 3500 TV using the DriectShow capture interface. It seems like the debug version doesn't like DirectShow (returns the Recording engine error), and using ssw results in 1 second of audio.

Is anything happening to try to resolve this ???
Hi, this problem should have been fixed in beta 4a, which was released a couple of days after beta 4 to fix this and some other issues.
Are you still encountering the same problem?

The ssd.exe that ships with beta 4a full still does this, he'll need to use ssw.exe to get any results with avicap.

Actually I get the same results using either ssw or ssd

Can you use Media Encoder 7 automation? I always find that easier as I can just run Media Encoder and troubleshoot the problem interactively.
