Making progress ... but not there yet

I have de-installed and re-installed my TV card with more up to date drivers.

I can now record off any channel but I have a problem with my sound that no amount of tweaking seems to fix.

Video & Audio Recording starts ok then after 5 seconds I lose the Right hand audio channel and the left channel goes "muffled".

Any one any idea what might be the cause/solution?

I am using the Hauppauge TV Theatre card with the latest VFW drivers.

I had/have the same problem using the hauppauge-PCI-FM card. I have found that the only way I can record two channel (stereo) is using the AVICAP interface. Give this a try.

It sounds like the card is switching from stereo to mono audio for some reason. Definitely try using the AVICap interface with the Hauppauge tuning interface; this is the preferred combination for Hauppauge WinTV PCI cards, and hopefully you'll see the same results as p1cass0 did.
