Please help with this error message

I get this error message when trying to record a test.

BTVid cant capture at this time. Either
A] Capture attempted from full sized(interlaced) overlay mode.
Switch to preview mode to capture

B]Memory allocation error
Restart application.


I have a Hauppage Win-TV pci card, win98se.
If you need any further details please advise!

Can everyone here still experiencing this problem please post:
What capture interface you are using.
Whether your system or video/card monitor was powered down at the time.

I've seen this happen in two cases. Using Windows Media Encoder 7.0 it happens on certain machines, but we really don't have any idea why. Workaround is to use a different capture interface.

And, when the video card is powered down. Workaround is to disable that power saving feature...although PVS is supposed to be kicking you out of power saving.
