Snapstream needs an additional option to set the record device stream - most cards have multiple inputs, who is to say that the correct one is set when the recording starts. If, for example, I've been using a network phone app, the input will be set to Microphone - Snapstream needs to sort this!

From your Mixer (usually in the task bar)

Choose options nad then properties, Adjust Volumer for recording and select the input source you wish to use for recording.

That's what I did anyhow.

I understand what Graham is saying. I have many apps. When I run my PC Phone app I need the recording source to be the Mic. If I forget to change it back when Snapstream records it automatically uses the last device it was set for. Meaning the Mic. If snapstream had a setting in it to automatically adjust the settings (much like the mute on record it now has) to select whatever device you want it to record from either Line-in, WDM Audio Source, or even CD-IN if you are using an internal cable then you will never "forget" to set it up correctly. Also have it set the previous setting back too.

I hate it when I use winamp and change the volume setting, it changes the WAVE volume setting. So when I go to use another app that doesn't change the wave volume setting but some internal volume adjustment I have to change the wave setting back to where I had it.
