I can't record more than one program without having to reboot. I have win 2k with direct x 8 and the drivers fot the ATI TV Wonder VE. I can record ONE show fine but after that I can't run the TV Viewer program to watch TV and I also can't record another show and have the sound recorded. I have a SB Live Platinum and the latest drivers. I thought I had it right but I can only record one show. then I have to reboot.

Have you tried the newest beta drivers from ATI. They are bundled with the new Multimedia center 7 on the unsupported drivers page. With all the trouble I've had with my ATI card, I'm happy to say it's working now.

Yes I have. I have the newest drivers for my sound card (SB Live), tv card (ATI TV Wonder VE), video card (RAGE Pro 128) and also have directx 8. I'm wondering if it is a sound card problem or a tv card problem.

Is the tray icon staying red at the end of the recording? There is a known problem with DirectShow where the capture hangs and never seems to end -- I wouldn't be surprised if this is causing the problem. Of course, the fact that the ATI drivers are still betas probably doesn't help... http://discuss.snapstream.com/ubb/smile.gif

In any event, we are working with Microsoft to get the issue resolved as quickly as possible.

NO actually snapstream stops recording fine. It also trys to record the next show fine and does so but it records it without sound. When I try to run my ATI TV it states that some other program hasn't released the driver and to close it out before trying again.
