Just a request for an FM Tuner interface option to be either a plug-in or included in a future release of Beyond Media.
I'm considering upgrading my TV Tuner hardware from the ATI TV Wonder Pro (software encoder) to the Hauppauge Win TV-PVR-500MCE (dual tuner;dual hardware encoder). It also has FM Tuner hardware, however being designed for a Media Center PC, no FM Tuner software is included - requiring use of the FM tuner software in Media Center.
Even if Hauppauge offers FM Tuner Software for it at a later date, or finding a 3rd party fm tuner software online, it would be cleaner just to have the interface for the FM tuner software in Beyond Media.
Thanks for consideration.

Here here. I have two Sapphire Theatrix cards that use the ATI Theater 550 Pro platform. They both have FM radio tuners.
Problem is that the only software I have to use the FM tuners is the steaming pile of (cr)app. the cards came with (Cyberlink Powercinema). It's such a buggy nuisance that I won't keep it installed just for the FM radio. Ironically that's the only thing I can get to work with that software (not that I care...BeyondTV is much better anyway).
It would be great if there were a plug-in or new version of the 'Beyond' products that would allow me to listen to the radio and record shows. Anybody know of a 3rd-party app. that would work with the tuners on these cards?

Yeah, maybe a feature to record FM radio and burn Audio CDs with Radio tracks would be nice, too, just the same as you would do for BTV with VCDs or DVDs. Sometimes you may want to record that once in a while FM Radio song or morning talk show, or whatever the case may be, etc... You could be watching TV while recording radio, listening to the radio when recording TV, watching TV and listening to the radio at the same time (I wouldn't recommend it if you want to concentrate on watching or listening to one thing at a time), or recording a radio show and TV show simultaneously. That would be sort of nice to do...

I do agree as well. I also have a theatrix 550 pro and have to use that stupid program they gave me with it to listen to the radio. And it isn't even that good. Let's hope Beyond comes out with FM tuning compatibility

I also agree with the FM Tuner interface request but would also like the ability to record streaming from the web.

Streaming from the web is probably copyrighted. If it is, a commercial software manufacturer can't provide a means of infringing on that copyright. You might be able to find some freeware that allows you to do it, but I doubt you'll see it in SnapStream products.

You might be able to find some software that will let you record directly from the mixer. I know that there are some plugins for Winamp that allow you to record from streaming audio sources. I'm not sure if someone's written a mixer-record plugin or not, but I wouldn't be surprised...there are a million of 'em.

Works awesome for Web recording. Even has a show guide like SS.net! I believe, by changing the input sources, you might also be able to record FM, although I have no need for that (hate commercials on music channels). I have my shows record to my BM Music directory and just navigate there through BM Music interface to play on demand through my audio system.
BTW - It can do some re-coding and will also rip straight to CD...
