Ok, here is my situation. I'd like to, when hitting the Video button, browse my Video folder where all my recorded shows are kept. I use a Leadtek WinFast TV2000 XP Expert as my tv card. Since the Fast Forward and Rewind buttons on the FireFly remote do not seem to work with the WinFast TV software, I was hoping to use Beyond Media Basic to browse my Video folder but open any mpeg-2's recorded therein with WinDVD. This way I could easily browse my collection of recorded shows with BMB but fast forward and rewind with the WinDVD software/Firefly hardware combo. As on now, everytime I select a recording in BMB, Windows Media Player 10 opens the file, even though I've told Windows XP to use WinDVD.
How do I tell BMB that WinDVD should be used instead? Is there a way to use the FireFly Fast Forward and Rewind buttons with the WinFast TV software? As the WinFast software doesn't have a keyboard shortcut for FF and RW, I didn't think I had a choice.
