I am having some serious issues getting girder to work with Beyond Media. It works fine with Beyond TV, in fact it is doing a lot better than I though that it would. I was wondering if anyone has created a gml file. Any help would be appreciated.

I use girder with BM, BTV, WMP, etc. My file is a bit complex as it determines which of several programs is in the forefront and uses keys custom to that app. But that said, it seems to control BM fairly well.

Thank you. This gml worked perfectly and better yet it contained a lot of programs that I use so it really made things easy.

Cool. I can't take credit for it....I just enhanced a core gml which someone else did.

Actually I've run into one problem that I can't seem to fix. Whenever I press the up or down buttons on my remote it skips down 3 selections so the functionalilty is still limited and I have found that I have to use the mouse to get around. I can use the rest of the controls but this little thing is driving me nuts. Any ideas? I'm using the Creative RM-1500 that comes with the Sound Blaster Audigy 2.

Highlight the event for the up/down, and put 500 in the anti-repeat box in the top right corner. You may need to play with the value there, and then again, this may not cure the problem, but its the first place I would take a look at as its easy.

Typically, if you have multiple controls set in Girder or in remote plugins, you get multiple responses. I've seen this with assigning left and right mouse buttons. Check in girder to see if those buttons are assigned more than once, then check with the plugins on the remote itself to see if they are doing anything.

I use a remote wonder, and have to turn off the snapstream plugin for girder to work. I manually entered all the girder shortuts and assigned buttons using the snapstream gml file as a start. The only thing I haven't been able to fix is the double clicking of mouse buttons in full screen, even when girder is off. THis is an issue with Snapstream that they still haven't addressed.

Since it's Christmas, I'll let them slide until the new year, but then I start bitching again.
