I installed BM and tried it for a while. It changed all my music to Beyond Media audio files. I have since deleted the program along with what I thought were all the registry files. All my music files are now BM file types and I can't change them. Any ideas?

i haven't tried Beyond Media yet, but does Beyond Media change the actual music files? or, i'm guessing more likely, does Beyond Media change the file type association (without altering the original music files)?

if it's just changing the file type association, then you have to go into folder options in windows explorer to change the file type asociation back to whatever you want it to be. i had this sort of problem when i installed Intervideo's Home Theater program - which gives you the option to not associate file types like AVI, MP3, MPG etc. with the software but does it anyways and so i had to manually fix all the file associations and also had to fix some other things also. if you're technically inclined then it's a fixable annoyance. but if you're a newbie who wouldn't know how to fix it, then this type of install/uninstall issue is rather unforgiveable.

No, it's not the association. I know how to change that. It's actually the file type, which appears to be unchangeable....any ideas?
