View Full Version : Shuffle in BM Music Basic
Webbo

I am rapidly moving away from BM 1.0 (Trial) back to BM basic due to performance problems on my machine.
I can live with using WM playlists to select the music to play and photos / videos are more responsive under BM Basic, however the only option I am missing is the ability to shuffle the playlist.
Is there a key combination, FF button or another hack that will achieve this?
Any help much appreciated.

I'm sorry Webbo. It's not in the software. You might be able to change it in WMP and the BMB player may inherit the setting. That's worth a shot.

This is absurd. I know it says it's 'Basic' but I'd say suffle is a pretty basic feature, considering it's on the $10 cd players you can pick up at a drug store.
I'm really dissapointed with my firefly remote. I assumed a remote from Snapstream would be a pretty good match for BTV, but instead all the useless software that comes with it hogs resources and BTV reacts more slowly than it did with my old Hauppehauge remote. (A music player without a feature as basic as shuffle is, indeed, USELESS!!!) And there's nothing more annoying than accidentally hitting the firefly button or one of the equally useless media buttons and having my tv show interrupted by some other app trying to take over the tv screen. This remote should be sold with the full version of Beyond Media or not at all.
And I don't care to install Girder because I shouldn't have to install third party software to make Snapstream hardware work with Snapstream software, so please don't bother with that post.

The current pricing on the FF/BM bundle sorta reflects this:
