BTV 3.4 ignores FireFly every half hour. Let's say it is 7:30pm and I press the fast-forward button on a FireFly remote --> nothing happen. I keep pressing the fast-forward button repeatedly --> still nothing happen. BTV 3.4 seems to ignore commands from FireFly completely. After 30-seconds to one-minute, I find that BTV 3.4 resumes responding to FireFly again. And this is like that every 30 minutes. What's happening and how to get around with this problem?

I am sure that FireFly is OK because I can hit the big FireFly button to open the FireFly menu. Seem like BTV 3.4 may be too busy to respond to FireFly command.

I try to get around with this problem by increasing the priority of FireFly in Task Manager. But this doesn't make any difference.

Please help. Thanks.

Can you see the red light on the Firefly receiver when you press the "ignored" commands ?

Perhaps you have another program that is stealing focus from btv? Just a thought.

Yes, I can see the red-light when I press the button on FireFly.

I will be looking at the possibility of another process is stealing the time from BTV. I have been using updated SpySweeper to get rid of spywares, and I have been using updated anti-virus to sweep the PC; but I still have that ignore-FireFly-every-30-minutes problem.

I am just hoping that this is a known problem that has already been fixed. I guess not... Oh well...

When BTV starts a recording it can become unresponsive in general. I assume every half-hour or so BTV starts a new recording.

The thing is that my BTV becomes non-responsive every half hour regardless if it needs to start recording or not. This is like BTV needs to spend a lot of time scanning a recording-schedule to see if it needs to start recording or not. I actually have quite a number of recording schedules (30 or so) between my wife and I. I am hoping that this is a BTV 3.4 "thing", and this may have been fixed in 3.5.
