Short Description: BM Skin
Long Description: This is a dark blue version of the blue wave skin.
Version Number: 1.0.1
Status: Update
Last Updated: 06/03/05
Homepage:
Installation Instructions: This version has been packed into an installer, so if you have an earlier version of the skin, you'll need to manually delete it from here: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\SnapStream\Beyond Media\Skins making sure to also delete the DarkBlueWave.xml file. Then, simply open the installer and let it do the work
Release Notes: This skin has Icons included for almost all plugins. Rather than moving and renaming images every time you want to change skins, open the icon instructions file I've attached and follow the directions to edit the Plugin.xml file for each plugin you have. Once this is done, you will be able to change between all of my skins (if you have updated them all) without having to make any other changes.

I created this skin as a set. The companion BTV skin looks very similar and should integrate nicely. I'm having a little dificulty getting it uploaded, but I've attached a couple screen shots

OK, apparently I do not have this folder on my drive:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\SnapStream\Beyond Media\Skins
I have istalled the other sking on my BM, since they were self executable, but I have no idea what folder they installed to.
Is there another location I should be checking?
The only other place I have found is in C:\Program Files\Snapstream\Beyond Media, but I do not see a "skins" folder.

The directory "Application Data" is hidden. Try typing it in the explorer bar.

Also, you can open up my computer and click on the tools drop down menu and select folder options. Then click on the view tab and make sure that "show hidden files and folders" is selected. Then you'll be able to see the "aplication data" folder.

No problem. If you don't mind, I'd appreciate any feedback on the skin.

I love the Dark Bluewave! You did a great job with the colors.
The only thing I would prefer different is maybe a lighter shade in the 3D transparency mode. The color is a little too dark and kind of purplish. The original colors from the default BTV skin would work better for me in this area. Otherwise, I like everything else.

Thanks. I appreciate teh feedback. I'll play around with it a little and see what I can come up with.

Nice skins! I wish they all came in pairs. The only sugestion I would make is to change the colour of the highlight bar in BTV -- it's a little to light which makes it more difficult to read the highlighted text. Aside from that, nice work!

Should this work with BM Basic? It seems to be ignoring the skin even though it's in the correct directory...
Thanks!
I put the skin in the wrong directory to start with and it seems BM Basic uses 'firefly' skins which are a completely different format from BM skins, sadly. Thanks anyway.

Yeah, I agree with you. Idealy I would like to change the font color for the text, but haven't figured out how to do it yet. But for now, try the dropping the image I'm attaching into the images folder replacing the old one (back it up first). I'm also going to upload an update that corrects the guide images to look a little better

Hi,
Just wanted to say I really like this skin, I've put it on both BM and BTV to get that unified look & feel. One question, what activates the appearance of the shuttle controls/progress bar in the wave at the bottom of the Video screen? Right after installing it was working fine, but after I rebooted a few times as part of a audio driver update, I don't seem to get that part of the Video display anymore. Sometime during that update activity I also added your "highlight_bar_tran2.png" to the DarkBlue Wave directory, did that do something?
Thanks for the great skin!

The highlight bar was a request for the matching BTV skin, if you dropped it into the BM folder, it might have done it. To be honest I'm not positive, I'm decent with photoshop, but the code side of skinning, I haven't gotten comforterable with yet.

I confirmed it's the culprit. When I removed "highlight Bar tran2.png" from the BM skin directory everything went back to working as it should.
Thanks!
