A question re: Encoding Window

What does this number represent? I notice that in the PocketPC quality settings, the Encoding Window is set at 5000. However, the ISDN qualities are set to 126597424.

What effect does this have on quality, if any? Or any other effect, of course.

If this is in the docs, I apologize. I didn't see it there.

I'd like to know the answer to this too. Also, an explanation of ALL the settings in the "Qualities" page, including the advanced ones would not only be nice, it would actually be documentation!

I just searched both Google and AltaVista with no success. There was not one (easily discerned) reference to "Encoding Window" as applied to video capture. Perhaps this is a SnapStream term and there's a more common one to describe this feature?
