I'm glad to report that things are moving along well with Beyond Media development.
This week's beta version of Beyond Media 1.0 will be feature complete and will be followed by a series of release candidates and then the GM. Since we last posted the feature list, we've added a number of new capabilities into Beyond Media. To see the details of what's been added, see the updated feature list.
We've been working on a new skin that the final product will ship with. You'll see a screenshot of the new skin below.
One of the features we've recently added to Beyond Media is the ability to create playlists in the music module. With this feature, you can easily create playlists in Beyond Media from your remote control, by picking from among any tracks and albums in your collection and then saving those playlists. While we know we aren't revolutionizing music playback by letting you create a playlist in Beyond Media, we do it with the same ease-of-use and polish that we put into all of our products. :)
There's also been a great deal of work done for skins and plug-ins (both the infrastructure to support them as well as a number of actual plug-ins), but we'll talk about those things in future updates.
