I have BeyondTV and have read only cursory details on BeyondMedia...but what I have read prompted me to wonder:

Will BeyondMedia provide the ability to share digital pictures via the web interface..similar to the way you can watch LiveTV or recorded shows in BeyondTVs browser interface ?

This would be a GREAT feature ..then I wouldn't have to upload pix and create albums on those "other" websites in order to share photos with family/friends. Obviously it'd be great too, if security was implemented..ie, share THIS folder of images with THIS userid, and THAT folder with THAT id, etc.

Keep up the good work !

I agree! Being able to easily share media files over the web _easily_ with a nice interface is, I think, a huge opportunity in consumer media products for PCs.

While we're at it, how about being able to stream all my music via a web interface. Personally, I think there would be more demand (and more usage) of photo and music web server applications, than for video/live tv. The bandwidth just isn't there yet (on average) to make it worthwhile to stream video.

I've set this up before in my homegrown environment, i.e. Apache and Andromeda:

... which is pretty decent, it's just a pain to have to manage problems with the server, configuring the server, etc. Also the performance is lacking, the streaming often had connection/buffering issues. In any case, I hope Snapstream is considering adding a feature like this, I think it's a huge opportunity and it would differentiate a PC-based PVR like BM from Tivo!
