When Firefly acts more like this I'll buy it:

But for now I wan to get Girder to control BMB, but I can't seem to train the "Target App" it to navigate in BMB.

Is there a trick to this?

Let me get this right: You want to use BMB but haven't bought Firefly?

The remote you're linking to is a good concept, and I am ready to bet at some point in the future FF2 or 3 will include IR learning.

No idea how to use BMB from girder only: I suspect it messes the X10 controler up.

That's right. I want to continue using the IR universal remote that controls my stereo/TV/Cable... as well as my PC. I installed BMB with the hack so it works, but Girder doesn't seem to want to control it.

what the hell are you using a hack for, that is stealing!!! BMB license is bought when purchasing the remote from snapstream.

You really need to relax. Snapstream doesn't have a problem with non-Firefly owners using BMB. Check the forums. It only encourages usage.

Well re-reading this thread I notice rkuo saying:
If it helps you decide to buy one, why not!

I don't think he means for people to use BmB permanently without buying Firefly.

In any case I don't think BmB can run with Girder and an X10 controller. (BmB contains the X10 controller for Firefly).
