View Full Version : wake PC from hibernation with firefly

This is basically the last thing that I need to make the automation of my theater complete. (Well other than installing some X-10 light switches to dim and raise the lighting. But I know I can do that with girder.)

I have setup girder to do the following.

When BMB has the focus, the Close button turns off the projector, reciever and puts the PC into hibernation mode.

I can wake up the PC from a keyboard press or mouse button click. Girder then senses that the PC has woke up and turns the Projector and Reciever on.

But would really like to have the maximize button, or firefly button if that floats you boat, bring the PC out of hibernation.

Anyway this can be done?

I've seen where the firefly can not be used to start the PC, but can someone from snapstream comment on this? My USB-UIRT can wake the PC, via an IR signal, so I know this kind of stuff can be done.

Anyone?

This though not in is something that is on the list of things to put in for future revisions of the remote.

Thanks for the reply. So I take it this would require a new remote, and not just a firmware update to the RF reciever... Crap. Can't say as I'll be ploping down another 50 bucks, to get this feature.
