Hi all,
Is there a shortcut to enter fullscreen mode when BTV is running as a taskbar icon only? The chart from the help files shows F6, but this does not seem to do anything when BTV is minimized to the taskbar. I'm hoping to set up a remote so that I can enter fullscreen mode with a button press so the rest of the family stops complaining. Basically I'm looking for the equivalent of an ON button. I need an easy way to switch back and forth between BTV for standard Def satellite and the MyHD card for everything else.

Create a shortcut on the desktop and set it to be fullscreen. (/mode fs). Once created right click the shortcut and choose Properties. In the Property window you will see a area named "Shortcut Key" click in there and hit the key or keys that you want to be set to. Apply it and test by pushing the key.

Thanks for the help! I'm almost there. You said,Create a shortcut on the desktop and set it to be fullscreen. (/mode fs).

Pardon my ignorance, I know HW much better than SW, how do I set it to fullscreen mode? I have added the shortcut and the hotkey and that part works well. I just don't know where to make it fullscreen. If I do it in Web Admin, it goes to fullscreen instead of taskbar icon on Win startup but the hotkey still goes to the home window. Anyplace I've found to type "/mode fs" gives me an error, so Im clearly missing something.

In the shortcut properties you will see some input area.
Shortcut Key: set this to the F6 button or what you want
Target: the shortcut should have something like C:\Programs Files\...wtlpvsapp.exe
Add this to the end "wtlpvsapp.exe /mode fs" without quotes. This is for 3.4 if you are using 3.5 then its: /displaymode:exclusivefs.

Thanks! I was away this weekend so I haven't tried this yet, but I will try it tonight. I did this before but did not know I had to remove the quotes.

It works! Thanks. Turns out that I had to leave the quotes that were already there, but put the /mode fs outside them.

So is there a way to program that F6 shortcut to be executed by the Hauppauge remote that came with my PVR-350? The Hauppauge remote controls all of BTV's functions, and it looks like it has a couple of wild card buttons on it, but has anyone programmed these extra buttons before? Also (maybe a long shot), I DO have a wireless InfraRed keyboard for my PC, so if I could get that Hauppauge remote to somehow send the 'F6' command (whatever my Airboard's F6 signal is that goes to it's IR receiver, then that would work too? I know that I could program any brand universal remote control to mimic the F6 command from my Airboard, but I was hoping to somehow get the Hauppauge remote to do that since it carries all the other controls for BTV.

(By the way, thanks a lot for sharing the shortcut to \mode fs trick with us, as I used it too and it works nice!

Nevermind, I found this link: http://discuss2.snapstream.com/vb/showthread.php?t=16303which explains it all! I CAN be done! This BTV thing is becoming more and more 'turn-key' all the time, and I'm stoked!
