is there a way to keep track of which episodes i have recorded so it doesn't record them again?
i'm recording some older shows, so there are no new episodes, but i want to get the entire series.
i capture using dvd low res, then i use some other tools, to remove the comercials and convert to xvid files (since i'm using software mpeg encoding, and i have to do a bunch of steps to keep the audio in sync).
as soon as i remove the original dvd files, it wants to record that specific episode again....
is there a database or something that keeps track of this stuff? it's not just the file name as i tried renaming the xvid the same as the original mpeg's and it sees it as a new file (i'm assuming there is some crc checking or something going on there)
