I was running the previoud version of BTV without a problem. After upgrading and also reinstalling the latest version, the video (TV/Recorded shows) no longer output to my TV. The Windows desktop and the overlay graphics for the menus in Full Screen all appear correctly, only the video won't play on my TV.

Here is my setup:
Asus SN61G2
P4 2.4c
1GB Corsair PC 3200 memory
ATI Radeon 8500DV (for monitor and Tv out only) latest drivers installed
Hauppauge PVR 250 (latest drivers installed)
2 x 80GB HDs
CDRW/DVD Combo Drive

This setup was working PERFECTLY before upgrading to the latest release. Is there any chance someone has the previous version of BTV (3.4.3??)?

I have email tech support but haven't received a response after a weeks' wait.

Thanks!

Many get caught with the overlay not displaying on secondary monitor.
We should have a warning of sorts during setup/install or when changing from 3D to Overlay,
Eric

I tried to find the setting in the Web Admin / Configuration settings but couldn't find anything that looked similar or had the settings quoted. Anyone have better directions for fixing this?

I was experiencing the same exact problem, but the suggestion in this thread helped me solve it. To change the setting do the following:
- In beyond tv interface (not the web admin), go to settings, player settings
- Change "Video Renderer" from "Overlay" to "3D Accelerated"
That should do the trick!

I wish I understood the technology behind these settings -- can anyone explain what the actual difference is between overlay & 3d accelerated?

Thanks! :D

I have email tech support but haven't received a response after a weeks' wait. Please recontact the tech support. We had an issue with the system rejecting emails after a server upgrade about a week ago. It only occasionally would reject emails and it was just brought to our attention.

Thanks,
-Brett

I'm interested in an answer on this as well.

My machine is some distance from where I sit so I control it w/ RealVNC.

I use the nVidia drivers set to DualView.
I would like all the video output to be sent to display 2 (the TV) and all the OSD type stuff left on display 1.

This works exactly like I wish in PowerDVD5 where there are two seperate windows, but I've been unable to get this to work in BTV yet...

In overlay mode it displays on the TV, but also on the Display. Of course rVNC does not pipe this thru, but it's on the monitor, downside is that the CPU is maxed out and playback is poor.

Any help would be appriciated.

You have to set Nvid up right. Set your tv to be primary display. Under the tools tab in Windows Utilities is a button {move to Display}
That should do it for you.
