Feature Request for 3.5 *simple and good

Id relaly like to see 3.5 have the ability to "monitor" directories created by BTV for media, to make sure that files get transcoded/Smartskip chapter generated. Because there is alot of times that my shows fail to get one of those steps, and i have alot of old media that i dont wanna transcode one at a time. If the system could just maybe once at midnight check for all files in the btv naming format (show-date.mpg/wmv) and make sure there are smartchapters and transcoding done, if it should be, and then add the appropriate tasks to the batch processor.

Id love to see SMP support added/improved. With P4's with HT and tons of cheapl dual CPU systems this could be made much quicker, especially when recording, transcoding and smartscanning could all be done at the same time in the dual systems.

Think about it, ya know how many dual AMD 1.2's can be had dirt cheap on ebay? Even dual p3 1ghz could it a good job.
