New User - dead in the H2O

I purchased BTV3 recently and tonight attempted to use it
without success.

I have no information in my program guide and attempts to
download new guide information result in a message that
a data download has begun.

Nothing happens though and I am left without a guide.

The program guide screen displays a message in red
stating "EGP Data is Low".

Attempts to log on to snapstream.net end up with me
being confronted with a login request for a login I know
nothing about.

After joining the forum I discover I along with many others
won't be able to encode to divx should I ever learn how to
get my BTV to operate properly.

Can someone please help this hapless soul?

Did you sign up for a account with snapstream.net? You should have been prompted to do this during the setup wizard. If not I suggest you try re-running the setup wizard so you can create a ss.net account.
