Question regarding overlaping times

I'm sure I'm missing the obvious, but when the television broadcasters have programs that overlap by several minutes, and I want to record both, which obviously will lose some part of one or the other, is there a way to do this within BTW... ?

As of right now the only way to deal with this type of situation is to setup manual recordings for both shows and just pick time slots for both of them so they do not overlap.

Because the way the recording engine is designed if two shows overlap its going to record the show with the higher priority and just forget about the other show.
