After recording programs with BeyondTV (latest version 1334), if I try to play them with Windows Media Player 9 or other mpg capable apps, there is no video.
Only audio

I'm on Win2k
nVidia nforce2 VGA

Before installing BTV I was able to play files I had recorded with BeyondTV previously (archived .mpg files) fine on the older WMP (7?). Now I can't see any video at all.

WMP9 can play other .mpg files from other sources fine.

Any idea what's up? Sounds like a codec issue, but I have no idea which one.

mpg comes in atleast 2 formats (mpeg1, and 2) to playback mpeg2 you NEED a software dvd program on the system or something else that provides an mpeg2 decoder, without a decoder media player will display it only as an "audio" file.

Thanks.
I figured out it's the Hauppauge WinTv PVR-250 software.
They have an update to the decoder to work with Win-DVD better, and after I unistalled it, I could play all MPG-2's just fine.

Thanks!
