Would it be possible to share your source code for BTV3Client?
I have written a perl script called "Cutads" that uses asfcut to remove commercials based on SmartChapter .xml files (see this thread:

My problem is that, after editing the video file, Beyond TV forgets the episode description and all the other meta-data that goes with it. I am thinking that I need to copy this information into some of BTV's ...Collection.xml files.
If this is so, your source may provide insights on doing this so I don't have to reinvent the wheel.
Any thoughts?
