Re: [addon] BTV Podcatcher

you can move the config files to a new computer and it will work

to do this simply install the btv podcatcher on the new computer and run it once (you probably might want to add one feed just to make sure it creates both file but this is not requied)

then you take the two configuration files listed below and copy them over to the new computer and replace the files that already exists

C:\Program Files\BTV Podcatcher\BTVPodCatcherConfig.xml - this file hold application wide settings please note the password is not stored in plain text for security reasons
C:\Program Files\BTV Podcatcher\FeedInfo.bpc - this file hold all the feed information include the feed urls and feed settings and the items in each feed

On widows vista the files are in the following folder C:\Users\YOUR_USERNAME\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\ Program Files\BTV Podcatcher

then you can start up the application and it will load the feed file you should then should go though the feed setup and check the save to folder for each feed and make sure that it exist otherwise you will get an error when a file is downloading and it can not find the directory to save it in. Also if a download start before you change the save to location if you might have to start the download again because I set the filename and save to location for the downloaded before the it starts.

if you have any problems please let me know
