When I initially got Comcast here in Minneapolis, I had that box at first. Installation was absolutely a bear and could not find a setting to work with the thing (at the time I had Beyond TV 3.57 Which has no support for these that I could find). I just limped along with the thing by pre-setting channels and manually scheduling records.
As it turned out, the boxes had so many problems that it was almost unusable even as a simple tuner box. Everytime Comcast did something in the area to something, the thing would develop flickering in the image and Snap would record it. We thought it was a bad box so we took it back and exchanged it. The second box was DOA. Took it back eventually (lousy customer service) and got yet another one. Hooked that one up and had no sound out of it. Again returned it for a final box. That time, I requested no more of these DCT700's, and wanted something else because Comcast (Comcrap to me by this time) doesn't compensate you in any way for their junk equipment failures.
I've since moved to BeyondTV 4.6 and probably could talk to those boxes, but given my history with it, I don't think thats likely to happen ever again. I think they will be coming out with yet another box soon that no one will have the codes to program it because Comcast really doesn't want you using any one elses PVR or even a VCR, they want you using their set-top PVR (at their monthly rates;... of course).

Dish Network Rocks!!
