Right now I have half a dozen AGP cards that will no longer fit in MBs with the latest AGP standard. And modem riser cards, PCI something-or-other, that have risen for the last time.

And that says nothing about the thousands of dollars worth of working, top quality cards that will not fit in anything.

And the dozens of sticks of RAM that are useless.

I've pretty well decided on buying second-tier stuff, planning to use it for a year or two, then replacing it with the then current iteration of junk. No more cutting-edge stuff for me--it's just a lousy investment.
