I have everything from a 15" LCD to a 63" Plasma. For a combo TV/monitor, the best of the bunch is the Dell 240xFPW (x because I have the 5 but now there is a 7). 1920x1200.

I also have 32, 37. 42, 46 and 63" panels though and it really depends on what you want to do. If you want it primarily as a monitor, get a high res one, as 1280x720 isn't enought real estate. If it is going to be primarily TV, than 720p is fine and the difference in cost isn't justified.

I just bought the Vizio 32" from Sams Club and for $700, it is a little more than the low-end, but includes NTSC/ATSC AND QAM tuners. 1360x768 through VGA and I have to say for a lower-end monitor it is simply stunning.
