Say for instance you have a failry good computer, memory, HD's, etc, what would be a ball park price to get a person going in this.? Say going the best and going a normal way, average way.? I want to check out the requirements, in case I decide to go with this and decide to build another computer for just this. You have struck a nerve here, this might just be what I have been looking for. I know there is nothing perfect, so what are the pro's and con's with this.?

Thanks and take care............Gunny
Gunny,
If you are interested in BTV, you will find lots of info on this forum since it is mostly targeted towards the Beyond TV product. Snapstream's website has the "how to purchase" and "system requirements" etc. info It can be found here http://www.snapstream.com/
BTV works great - has no subscription fees and has a bunch more flexibility than Tivo. It's not for everyone though so you should do a free trial if you are at all interested.

As cncb said, if you're really interested in the tivo thing, you'll find more info on those forums at http://www.tivocommunity.com/.
