You seem to have a really good handle on the technology so you need to research the manufacturer's websites and go from there.
Personally I would not go with projection of any sort, LCD, DLP,etc. The future is going to be a battle between flat LCDs and plasma. Wait another 6 months in my opinion. I have my eye on the 58" Panasonic plasma but it's $7500 cdn. Flat LCDs are getting larger as time goes on and LCD is everywhere so the price should come down more in a few months.
