What about playback of your HD recordings or other known good quality recordings like a DVD rip or avi downloaded from the web, do they have a good PQ? If known good files do not have acceptable playback, then you need to fix that issue first. At this point it could be a problem with many items (video card, monitor, PC configuration, tuner, driver conflicts, codecs, signal strength, RF interference, etc.) Until you have good PQ on a "known good" file, you can't address the quality of the analog recordings. It could be a low strength analog signal, capture quality settings or even a faulty card. You have to investigate the problem in a systematic manner to zero in on the problem.
