1 - Should be this month -- I'm not the answer man for that.
2 - I think the StreamZap is being coded for direct use with SnapStream -- however, there is a third party program known as girder32 (
www.girder.nl) that will allow you to use a wide array of remotes. The Full Screen UI has been setup to cooperate well with girder should you wish to use it.
3 - MPEG2 & WMV should be in the release for sure -- were working with DIVX right now to correct some beta issues and hope to have it complete before the release.
4 - Right now there isn't any support from ss.net for countries outside of the u.s. -- very expensive -- If you have 5 million friends that live out of US, tell them about snapstream -- I'm sure this will have an impact on the timeframe for this
There are other EPGs that work with SnapStream, but I don't think any of them are in Canada. (I have heard there is a user plugin though which will work with a Canadian EPG)
5 - Right now the beta can play mp3 files, and some others (not sure what) -- don't know if more will be included -- I know this stuff is being pushed though, considering the move towards a full media pc solution.
6 - If it works with girder32
7 - There is a full screen GUI interface as well as a windowed interface. You don't have to explicitly use Media Player for playback, except through the HTML interface (for streaming etc..)
